Immediate opening for an Iowa Class II water & wastewater operator for Tripoli, IA. The water system is an iron removal filter plant & the wastewater facility consists of aerated lagoons & lift stations. Incumbent will also be responsible for the collection & distribution system, as well as meter reading.

Qualifications:

  • IA Class II water, wastewater & distribution certifications or ability to obtain.
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record required.
  • Ability to organize workflow & work independently.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to communicate in written & verbal form.
  • Computer knowledge helpful (Excel & Word).
  • Required to live within 10-30 minutes of Tripoli – relocation assistance offered.

Regional Water Rural Water Association - Grade 1 Water/Waste Water Operator or Apprentice

Regional Water Rural Water Association (located near Avoca, IA) is seeking an Iowa licensed Grade 1 Water/Waste Water Operator or apprentice candicate with related education and/or experience.

A valid Iowa Drivers License and possession of, or the ability to attain, an Iowa Department of Natural Resources Grade 1 Distribution Certification are minimum requirements for this position.
